Don Lyman has had a life long  interest in herpetology. As a biologist, Don's focus lies in ecology, behavior, and evolution, but most of his friends and colleagues know him as a herpetologist -- someone who studies reptiles and amphibians. When he's not busy teaching as an adjunct instructor in the biology department at Merrimack College in Massachusetts, or working as a freelance science journalist, Don can often be found herping in places like Louisiana, the desert Southwest, Costa Rica, and Quantico Virginia. 


BEN JAFFE

Ben Jaffe is an experienced herpetologist with a background in early childhood science education in New York City public schools. Ben has spent summers in Massachusetts teaching a herpetology course at the Children's School for Science in Woods Hole, leading marshland herping expeditions. Ben's keen ear and study of frog vocalizations and swamp sounds makes sense, as Ben is also a successful saxophonist and musician active with numerous cult rock & roll groups such as Murphy's Law and PILL
