What is Herping?

Herpetology is the study of reptiles and amphibians -- frogs, toads, salamanders, snakes, lizards, alligators, crocodiles, turtles and more!  "Herping" is searching for reptiles and amphibians, and typically involves the safe catch and release, study, and appreciation of reptiles and amphibians in their natural habitat. 

The Mission:

Herpetologists Don & Ben love reptiles and amphibians, and want to bring the mysteries of this often feared, misunderstood, and hidden world to plain view for all to see and enjoy - science for everybody! This duo has years of field experience and knowledge to share.  By taking a holistic approach, the team not only explores the world of reptiles and amphibians, but entire ecosystems - and the various plants and animals that are found there. Don & Ben also seek to make science accessible to all with backyard science woven into hard to reach locations.
